Residents of Potrero Hill are in no rush, since the steep hills make that quite impossible. It’s historic, friendly, filled with locally-owned shops and cafés and maintains its village-within-a-city-feel. Stretching all the way to Dogpatch and the Central Waterfront, the industrial/residential mix of loft and condo owners, single family homeowners, and apartment dwellers can attest to the especially sunny climes. Commuting to downtown, East Bay and Silicon Valley are a breeze. Residents can point tourists to Vermont Street, technically even more crooked than Russian Hill’s famous Lombard Street.
